Is there any way to isolate volume control for the Media Player so that it
doesn't affect the rest of the sounds, MSN Messenger alerts, system 'ping's etc. because my DVDs, they're up at full volume on the Media Player, but they are far too quiet unless I turn my speakers RIGHT UP, which makes everything else far too loud. Is there no way to programme the default volume into WMP? Or will I just have to get bats' ears? |

WMP uses WMP's volume line, the Wave volume line, and the system volume control. There's no further isolation. I'd use the WMP volume line, as seen at the bottom of WMP. Also, you caaan switch to use waveOut, which is slightly louder in some cases than DSound- http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#dsound but I don't know how much that will buy you here. -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
