I’m using Windows Media Player Version 9.00.00.3250, with Windows XP Pro SP2.
When I play MP3 files with a playlist, I sometimes find that the date and time of the MP3 file has been modified to the current date and time, and a quick browse of the MP3 file seems to indicate that the ID3 tag information has been changed or rearranged, although I’m not sure exactly what has changed. In Tools, Options, Media Library, “update my music files (WMA and MP3 files) by retrieving missing media information from the internet” is not ticked, and in fact I’m not connected to the internet when I use Media Player – I have a dial up connection. I don’t have this problem if I play just one file – it’s only when using play lists. I don’t want the date and time of my files changed. Is it possible to stop Media Player doing this? |
