If you tweak your video card driver settings (changing Video Hardware Acceleration), does the problem clear up? -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. Thanks for the response. No, I tried that, and there was no change. Any
other ideas? I have more than one decoder on my system. One thing I was wondering about was whether there was any way within WMP10 to select a specific decoder. I've installed the Windows decoder utility, and identified a decoder that says it's compatible with WMP10 as the default, but I think the player is using a different one, as I don't see the correct properties sheet when I look at Options/DVD. That utility does help, but it doesn't guarantee the right decoder. You may want to try unregistered the other decoder and seeing if that helps... -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. Well, interesting ... WMP was using a decoder that was NOT identified as the
default, but I did as you suggested and unregistered it, after which WMP picked up the right one! This behaviour isn't quite as Microsoft describes in its KB, but if it works, who cares?
