Default WMP problem

I'm trying to legally download a pay-per-view video that I subscribe to and
it keeps giving me the following error:

Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when
another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does
not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player.

Error ID = 0xC00D11CD, Condition ID = 0x00000000

I've already contacted the company about this error and they told me to
reinstall Windows Media Player 10. I did as I was told and I still get the
same error. By the way, I have Windows XP Home Edition on my computer.
Anybody, please help. Thank you.

Default Re: WMP problem

That's "Error: Unknown Error", so there's nothing to go on here, really.
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#isolate
is about all the starting point I'd have for that.
