.wmv help for novice please?!?!?!?

Default .wmv help for novice please?!?!?!?

Please help me!! i cannot seem to view any files sent through emails that
have the extension .wmv. i keep getting the same erro message. Is there
anyone out there that can guide me in the right direction please??

What error message do you get?
Do the files work if you save them to disk first?

thank you for your response....
i receive the following error msg, and will not play even if saved to disk
C00D1199: Cannot play the file
Error ID = 0xC00D1199, Condition ID = 0x00000000
Can you help??

No, that's not enough to go on, sorry.
