I have some questions about videos.
How come sometimes you can't fastfoward/rewind or go forward or backward inthe timeline, you have to just watch from start to finish? This really sucks if you miss something (ie, have to answer the door) because if you stop, it doesn't pause, it starts over again. And then rather then skipping what you've watched you have to start over again :/ Another thing I have a problem with is at the end of a movie sometimes the picture will go black, only a couple movies have this problem and it has happend with mpg or wmv. Sound still plays but the screen is black. Additionally, if you have repeat on and it ends and starts over again, it will continue to show a black screen. This problem only happens on one of my computers so it's not that big of a deal really but kind of inconvenient. My guess is I probably dont haev the right codec installed or something. btw, this black screen problem only happens in WMP 10, I can play them in winamp just fine and it wont do the black screen thing. |

You can't seek in a file if the file's index is corrupt or not present. That's a problem in the file. If the file is dying partway through, that again seems to be a file issue. Other players are more tolerant of badly joined files... WMP uses a stricter parser in order to reduce randomness. Where are you getting these files from? They sound like pretty low quality files... -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
