hello, microsoft generally makes fine software. however one irritating issue
I have is that it is many times to smart for it’s own good. I am thinking this is the case again with windows media player 10. when playing in shuffle mode many albums are ignored while many others are repeatedly played. I am assuming that it is trying to be smart and play what it thinks I like. I would prefer to turn this “feature” off completely. I have changed the ratings to one star on some of these albums with no effect they still play at the same rate. so my question: is there a way to make the play truly a shuffle? rather than a smart shuffle. and do the ratings have any effect at all? or am I (quite possible) the one lacking the smarts to figure out how it works? and one last request while I’m at it, is there a skin/setting that mimics windows media center edition? in other words a skin/setting for audio only that displays album art and information like WMCE2005? thanks in advance for any help you may be able to lend, tom |

No, to my knowledge WMP10 does not do 'tilted'/'smart' shuffle - it should purely shuffle whatever exact playlist / node is selected. -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
