I have just gotten a new computer and have been downloading my CDs fine all
day. Then suddenly the computer wont play them anymore...it is saying 'no disc in drive' when there is! it is reading DVDs fine, it just hates CDs. I have WMP 10 running on Windows XP. |

Can you select it manually using WMP's Play VD/CD menu and have it workthat way? -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. What CD drive type do you have ? Did you update drivers recently? Can the system still see the CD? Not sure how to tell if the system can still see the CD...its a RW Combo...a
DVD multiplayer...i can play dvds on it fine...just not cds. its a new computer...ive had it a week! so havent done anything to it...i got it from a company who installed software on it. but it played and ripped cd fine all day and then just stopped. am not sure what type of computer it is!! it doesnt say! its a desktop.
