I hope someone can help me. I am having problems playing video with Media
Player 10 and for that matter with any media player. I can play music but as soon as I play a video be it a local file or a web stream the computer slows down and freezes leaving me no option but to shut the computer via the power button. Any suggestions as to what could be happening. I have installed the latest codecs and so far the other application giving me problems is WinDVD 7. My computer is an HP 523w with P4 2.0 512 MB RAM and an added ATI Visontek 9100 video card. -- Baltasar De Salas |

That sounds pretty clearly like a video card driver problem- http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#vdriver -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. I have noticed problems since I updated my video card drivers. I had to
upgade them in order to play Age Of Empires 3 which requested them upon startup. So now I'm in a dilemma. -- Baltasar De Salas "zachd [ms]" wrote: > > That sounds pretty clearly like a video card driver problem- > http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#vdriver > > -- > (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) > See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. > This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. > -- > > "Baltasar" <Baltasar@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:5EF53898-3D79-49EA-8C63-616B39E6A950@microsoft.com... > >I hope someone can help me.
