Default LOGURL - how to make this work???

I saw a few messages on problems with the LOGURL on this newsgroup, but
couldn't find a full answer yet.

I am trying to add a LOGURL element to my .asx file to get logging
info.
The LOGURL points to an .asp file on my servers.
I am not getting any calls to my .asp page.
All I did was add a <LOGURL> element (with HREF of couse) inside an
<ENTRY> section.
Am I doing something wrong - or is this a known issue.
(I am using Windows Media 9 and the player. It doesn't work both when
the player is embedded on an HTML page, and when I run the standalone
player).

thanks,
Hanit.

Are you sure ? Do the server logs tell a different story, or are you
only testing with a limited subset of media player users ?

It's possible that turning off cookies in IE might affect the logging
prcess if you're using those as your log parameter, but in general a
standard GET request should make that page go.

So I guess the big questions are how do you test your ASP page in the
absence of media player - does it respond to specific parameters in
the request headers that you might have misinterpreted ? And are you
*sure* your entry element is being played at all by the testing
scenario ?
