This has been happening for a long time and I don't know why...

the windows media player toolbar controls freeze up my pc for some minutes
if I minimize the
player window... if I wait it shows up, and then the pc unfreezes.. but this
is annoying!!!

does anyone out there know a solution?

Nope, in fact I have the CLASSIC windows theme...

I have patched the UXTHEME so that I can install other skin if I wish, but
I am not using it.

Why do you say this?

You've patched uxtheme?

Yeah, if you toy with how Windows renders UI (patching uxtheme), you're
going to break the toolbar's ability to render. Pick one. Either patched
uxtheme or the toolbar...
