I am using XP Professional to run Windows Media 10. When I burn a cd the
recorded output level of the burnt cd is slightly lower than that of the original cd. Why is this? Can I fix it?? Please help. |

I don't burn with WMP (more on that later) but you can try this: Open WMP Click on Burn tab On the right click on Display Properties and Settings (the icon with the red checkmark) Click the Quality tab UN-tick the option to volume leveling when burning Does that do the trick? The application that I use for burning audio CDs: jetAudio Basic: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/jetaudio.html -- Galen - MS MVP - Windows (Shell/User & IE) http://dts-l.org/ "My life is spent in one long effort to escape from the commonplaces of existence." - Sherlock Holmes |
