I can't seem to open and play .asx files with WMP 10. I get the following
error when I try:

Windows Media Player cannot perform the requested action at this time.

Then I click on Web Help, and I get the following:

You've encountered error message C00D11D4 while using Windows Media Player.
We are investigating the cause of this error. We will post more information
about this error when it becomes available.

I am using the latest version of Media Player (10), and I have re-installed
a couple of times, and have made sure I have the latest updates and Plugins.
Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks,

This error seems to be documented (with a fix procedure) here :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win.../0069.mspx#EAB

In general it can be a good first step to type the error code into
google, as common error codes are now quite well indexed.

There's one step you might have overlooked is to close and restart the
player after changing these settings.
