Hi,
I am caturing Video from a camcorder with Movie maker in DV / AVI format. The file is fine in Movie Maker, has both Video and Audio, and both are playing fine in Movie maker. But when I try to play the file in Windows Media player, I get a brief "Error Downloading Codec", then the Video plays fine, but I have no sound. I tried the file in other player, it does not play in Real, but plays fine with Audio in Quicktime Serching on the web for people with similar problem, I found a post suggesting that the PCM codec was corrupted. When checking the device manager, the codec appears to be there and working properly. Any idea if this is indeed the PCM codec which would be corrupted, and if so, is there a way to repair / re-install that codec ? Appreciate the help. |
