Default Help. My dial up modem hangs up when ripping Cds on Media Player 1

Hi. I have been using Media Player 10 and Musicmatch 10 to rip my CD
collection. I'd prefer to use Media Player, however when I rip a CD, it will
disconnect my 56K dial-up modem on the second track of the CD every time. No
error message, and it doesn't stop ripping the rest of the CD, or mess up the
recording ta all. Everything seems to be fine. Except when I put in another
CD, I have to now re-connect to my dial-up ISP to retreive the CD info. Then
I begin ripping, and on the second track it hangs up the connection again.

I Have specified the connection speed in Media Player, and this doesn't
happen in Musicmatch, so I've been using that. (with other problems playing
on my MP3 streamer....this is why I want to get ripping in Media Player to
work properly)

Thanks

If you switch to use Analog ripping in WMP's Tools:Optionsevices for that
drive, does that fix it?

(speaking for myself and doing this in my free time)
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
