Default Privacy Setting Reset

When I change the privacy settings to display media information from the
internet they only last for that session. If I close Media Player 10 and
then reopen the check box goes back to unchecked. I click on Apply and OK
before I close out the Options box. Any ideas?

Do the other options save? It sounds like you may not have write access to
your registry... ?

Yes, the other options do save and I do have write access to the registry.

What's the setting of MetadataRetrieval under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\P references? If you set it
to 0x1, does things then work as expected?
