Hello all. I've got a problem when trying to rip my CDs using Media
Player10. I have a 56k dial-up connection. I insert my CD and Mediaplayer does the CD lookup fine. Then I rip the disc and on the second (always the second) song on the disc, it will disconnect my internet connection. Then I have to redial to rip the nect CD. I am trying to convert my music collection to WMA 192k, so this has been a pain. I have tried specifying my connection speed to no avail. I've also done some ripping using Musicmatch 10, which seems to do fine (doesn't hang up modem) BUT my media streamer (OmniFi) will not play any WMA files ripped with it that are over 5 minutes long. (another problem) But if I re-rip the same long song with Mediaplayer 10, it plays fine on the OmniFi. So I'd really like to get the Disconnect problem solved with Mediaplayer 10, and use that. (I like the player A LOT better anyway) Thank You if you are able to help. |

Are you listening to music as you rip? If you select "Work Offline" in WMP after you get the track data, does it still disconnect? -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. No I do not listen to music as I rip.
I will try to select the "work offline" after I get the track info & see how that works. Rather unselect "connect the the internet" option. (that was the closest one I could find to "work offline" thanks for the reply "zachd [ms]" wrote: > > Are you listening to music as you rip? > > If you select "Work Offline" in WMP after you get the track data, does it > still disconnect? > > -- > (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) > See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. > This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. > Now Playing: "Club Scene" by "Special Ed" in WMP10. > -- > > "Snowman68" <yota_85@yahoo.com> wrote in message > news:1132943512.503444.114970@g44g2000cwa.googlegr oups.com... > > Hello all.
