So I want to watch anime in japanese with english subtitles. I know it HAS
subtitles because I can watch it on another DVD player with subtitles. But clicking english subtitles in the disc menu, clicking english subtitles in the play menu, and turning on show local captions in the tools/options menu did not work either. What to do? I need help! |

I need help! It looks like you might need FFDShow from Sourceforge : http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...id=53761#files It's a set of filters for playing video, but also includes subtitle support. The subtitles on DVDs are usually a stream of pictures of text rather than text itself, and I think the subtitles & captions part of WMP only deals with text subtitles. F FDShow should allow the player to overlay the subtitle 'pictures' onto the video. HTH Cheers - Neil |
