Here's the deal...Any time I try to play video or audio from files on my hard
drive, WMP 10 says the following: Media Event Sink Window: wmplayer.exe - Application Error "The instructioon at "0x02c51170" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". The window that pops up with this message gives me the option to click OK to terminate the program or to click CANCEL to debug the program. When I click on OK or CANCEL WMP 10 closes itself. The kicker is that WMP 10 DOES work if I open a streaming file from the internet. What's going on here or what the message means??? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMP 10 (and rolling back to WMP 9) and it didn't work. Does ANYONE know what's going on? I've posted a message before here and got absolutely NO help...PLEASE!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!! This has been occurring for about a two months now!!! |

Is mmswitch.ax on your system? Do you get the chance to send up an error report to Microsoft? http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#bucket -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
