You know, to me this sounds like one of 2 things : Either the equaliser has been set badly or the speakers have a 'karaoke' mode which filters out anything equally on left / right speakers (which is how karaoke players work), and that's usually the singers voice. To check the equaliser, open WMP and go to View -> Enhancements -> Show Enhancements. Then scroll through them with the blue/white arrows (top left of the enhancements window) until you see Equaliser. On the right=hand side of that is a dropdown label "Custom" - click it and set it to "Default", then "Turn off" the equaliser. If that doesn't help, try the Quiet Mode and SRS Wow Effects sections, ensure they are "off" (the label will say "Turn on") Should none of those work, either the speakers are in karaoke mode - check each button and control on them until it works, or the audio itself was recorded like that ;-) HTH Cheers - Neil |

Hi Neil!
Thanks for your answer. I´m such a stupid idiot. ;-) You were right. I pressed a wrong button on / at (I don´t know...) my speakers and this was the reason for the bad quality of the audio files. I never noticed this button before!!! I´m glad that you helped me with this stupid problem. Greetings from Germany! That's cool - I don't have such advanced speakers, but I've heard about this feature coming into use inintentionally before ;-) Cheers - Neil |
