Hi Guys
I hope this is the right forum for this question: As per subject line, I accidentally deleted my whole music collection with media player (v9). I restored what I could from the recycle bin but that was only a small fraction of the total. I've tried a 3rd party recovery tool (PC Inspector) but, unless I'm using it incorrectly, it doesn't seem to be able to return the files to their original locations with their original file names. Is there any method or software I can use to perform such a restoration (preferably free or cheap!) Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Kr1s |

Good disk recovery tools are usually not cheap, and you might require professional assistance. If you've done anything on your computer since deleting the files, then there's an excellent chance that the space where they where has been overwritten. Back up. Back up. Back up. You've learnt a lesson. |

Hi,
You can really restore your lost files with data recovery tools such as Active@ undelete or Uneraser (for DOS). They never ever failed me before and were always able to recover. THeis algorithm is powerful indeed so I', pretty sure that will help you. http://www.active-undelete.com/ http://www.uneraser.com/ |
