Hi. I have a problem on my PC that is not limited to Media player but
effects all audio in all software applications. The audio itself plays slowly. Not enough to really distort the audio much, but enough to be noticable to someone really listening. I have updated drivers for the sound card, for directX, disabled and fully enabled hardware acceleration and rolledback drivers for the sound card too. Any ideas as to what I can do would be appreciated. I looked for the creative file that is discussed elsewhere but couldnt find it on my machine. I am using WMP10 and couldnt find a speed setting anywhere in the software. Thanks in advance for any suggestions... |

The speed setting is under Enhancements, but should not be abused to fix a broken sound card. If after drive tweaks your sound card is still wrong, you should probably take the sound card back, because the timing crystal is probably screwy. http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#dsound -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
