Default Copy a Audio CD

Hi there,

is there somewhere an easy write-up on how to copy (burn) an audio CD using
Windows Media Player 10?

I will need it for my girlfriend.

Thanks in advance!
Ellen

Has she thought about the Windows Media Player help file?
WMP > F1 > Read the chapter called: Creating your own CDs.

Has she thought about checking the Microsoft web site?

"Burn Your Own CDs"
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...rn_how_to.aspx

In general, the help file and the manufacturer's web site are the first
places to look for help with using software.

Copying and burning are not the same thing. Burning is the second step
in copying. The help file describes how to burn an audio CD.

WMP will not directly copy one audio CD to another (although other
software may). It will allow you to rip from one CD and then burn the
resulting files to a new CD. For the best results this should be done
with a high-fidelity intermediate format like WMA Lossless.

Thanks Mike...

this explains the missing part (for me), which was the RIP part. Like I
mentioned in my other mail to Ted, I personally do use Nero or Sonic to burn
CD's.
Also never do something in a rush ~Smile~

Thanks!
Ellen

Hi Ted,

we did. It all tells you how to burn a CD, but the part I could not find
that quickly is how to copy the music from the actual CD.

I personally do not use Media Windows Player, but I use Nero and/or Sonic
software and there you just insert the original Music CD, click Copy Audio
CD and follow the steps.

I will check the links again, you gave me!

Thanks for your patience!
Ellen
