Hi there,
I've managed to embed the Media Player controls into a web page and got a video to play in both stream form using streaming server and in normal file form from a URL. I'm trying to add a few extra features so that the user finds it easier to watch the video, and I'm trying to find if they're possible or not. 1) Allow the user to save the video to the desktop while the video is buffering / playing in the media player area? For example,. the user is watching the video, but while the video is playing, the same stream is saving to the user's computer/desktop/c: etc. Because we want the user to have a copy of the video, it would make sense that what's buffering should be saved locally on the user's machine.. 2) Set a delay before the video starts to play. Because we are downloading the video, it makes sense that we allow the video to download for a while before we should play it, so that we don't get to the end of the half-downloaded video prematurely. Like I said, if what I'm asking is possible, please point me in the correct direction ![]() Thanks, Steve Griff |

1: Not really, no. 2: Not really. You can set PreRoll but generally you'd want WMP's networking to figure that out for you. -Z -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
