Okay,
Here goes. Whenever I attempt to synchronize shows that I've recorded using
TiVo and transfered to my laptop, I receive this error code. I'm
sychronizing between an HP Pavilion zd8000 and an Archos AV400 PVR. I have
no problems playing the shows with WMP10. Before upgrading to the HP, my
previous laptop (a Gateway Solo 1400 running WMP10) had no problem converting
and transfering files to the AV400. I also receive this error when
attempting to sync files recorded using XP Media Center. Any ideas?

I think I may have solved my problem. After having several problems not
related to WMP10, I reformatted the HD on my old Gateway. Reloaded XP and
WMP10. Reloaded Intervideo WinDVD 7 and tried syncing a TiVo recorded show
to the AV400. Everything worked flawlessly, even faster than before. So I
installed WinDVD 7 on the HP and I am now syncing a show as I type this.

It seems that WMP10 can playback a TiVo recording but it needs a WinDVD
codec or something to convert it for playback on mobile media devices. Just
a thought.
