Hi all,
I have recently started a musical web site and I have all MP3 songs on the server. I used PHP coding for the browser html work and it uses the line, < header( "Content-type: video/x-ms-asf" ); >. For example go the link, http://www.chimatamusic.com/kamal.php and click on any hyper link and it plays the song on XP boxes with no issues. However, the song doen't play on some of Windows 2000 (both Prof and Server) version. Once you click on the hyper link, the Windows media player pops up and it is in the ready mode and it never buffers and streams the songs from the server. It is happening on all versions of Media Player 9 series on the Windows 2000 (Prof and Server). Any of you have any idea why the songs don't play in the Palyer 9 on Windows 2000 machines? I checked the .htaccess file on the server side and it does have "AddType video/x-ms-asf asx asf" line there. Any solution to fix this issue? Thanks in advance, Srini |

I get told 'its not a valid playlist' on WMP7 / Win2000.
What are you sending as a result of your POST request - I can't seem to grab the file without using CURL so I'd have to write a script to do that .... suspect you're not sending the right playlist format I noticed that the blank one has mismatched <TITLE></title> tags though, it wouldn't take 30 seconds to make that consistent.
