excuse me for my lack of savy and terminolgy in this post. When I run WMP
10, during the first file run it will lock up for a few seconds and then start working again. the file continues to play and can be heard but the programs freezes and then lets go and it works fine on the remaining files. also when I select something off the toolbar, that part of the tool bar remains on the visualation screen. when I alt+tab, the window of the program that was in the screen area stays. This has been going on for a few months now and I have just been using WMP very little, but now I am using it more and it's very annoying. I don't have a correlation to an install of another program. I don't know how to unistall, but I have downloaded off the MS site and reinstalled over the current program. This did nothing. Thanks for the help DG |

I had all kinds of trouble after installing WMP10. Mostly freezes, after
about 2 hours of computer usage. The biggest aggravation was the inability to restart or shut down. I couldn't even turn the computer off with the on/off switch, I had to UNPLUG the thing! When I tried to uninstall WMP10 by using Add/Remove, it would REinstall! It finally dawned on me that I would be better off if I had never installed in the first place, so I found a restore point prior to this installation. Clicked on this and WALLA! Solution found! My computer was restored, and WMP10 was gone. The only problem doing this was that several updates to McAfee were missing. Going to their website corrected this however. I was SO happy to get rid of WMP10! This might work for you if you're using WinXP. Give it a try. -- Virginia "DG" wrote: > excuse me for my lack of savy and terminolgy in this post.
