Hi, I have WMP 10 and a nice widescreen laptop. Why is it that when I watch
a nice widescreen movie in fullscreen the player leaves a thick black frame around the entire image instead of fullscreening it? |

I'm not sure what you mean, visually - have you right-clicked on the video and selected "Full Screen"? -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. Same problem with me.
It is in full screen mode but sticks to a 4:3 format when it could have a nice 16:9 format and fills up with a thick black bars instead "zachd [ms]" wrote: > > I'm not sure what you mean, visually - have you right-clicked on the video > and selected "Full Screen"? > > -- > (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) > See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. > This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. > -- > > "John L" <JohnL@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:AF4EAE32-C18E-44D7-80DA-72E8B6FD4124@microsoft.com... > > Hi, I have WMP 10 and a nice widescreen laptop. Are you using actually Full Screen mode (right-click on video, pick Full Screen), or maximized player mode? Do you have a sample clip I could look at that has this problem? -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. I'm also having this problem. I have tried choosing the full screen mode and
etc, but as mentioned above, I can still see black bars around the picture. I didn't have this problem until recently. I don't know why this is happening. Any ideas?
