Default WMP Widescreen

Hi, I have WMP 10 and a nice widescreen laptop. Why is it that when I watch
a nice widescreen movie in fullscreen the player leaves a thick black frame
around the entire image instead of fullscreening it?

I'm not sure what you mean, visually - have you right-clicked on the video
and selected "Full Screen"?

Same problem with me.
It is in full screen mode but sticks to a 4:3 format when it could have a
nice 16:9 format and fills up with a thick black bars instead

Are you using actually Full Screen mode (right-click on video, pick Full
Screen), or maximized player mode?

Do you have a sample clip I could look at that has this problem?

I'm also having this problem. I have tried choosing the full screen mode and
etc, but as mentioned above, I can still see black bars around the picture. I
didn't have this problem until recently. I don't know why this is happening.
Any ideas?
