I am having similar crashed with MP10. I am trying to video clips on
cnn.com. I have tried this both in IE and firefox with the same results.
The video window comes up. The video advances one frame and freezes. The
sound continues to play. I am not able to stop or pause the video. If I
do nothing the system eventually freezes and I must shut down and
restart the computer. If I try to close the window, a box pops up saying
the program is not responding -- do I want to end the program... no
matter what choice I make the system freezes and I must shut down and
restart the computer. I am never prompted with an error message or asked
to sent and error report.

I have a very recent installation of Windows XP amd MP10. MP10 was
working fine until I updated my ATI Radeon 7000 drivers. But since the
driver update has corrected other problems that are important to me I do
not wish to go back to the old drivers. Other streaming media and/or
online video using Quicktime or RealPlayer work fine. I have run the
DXDiag test and all passes. I will post the results below...

This sounds pretty clearly like your video card drivers hate you, and you
know that. I've found that my machine would blue-screen if I didn't
uninstall the ATI Control Center. You might want to remove that if it's
installed.

If you have any further problems, you REALLY want to take this to ATI.
Nobody around here would be a better choice to talk to. =)
