I ran the utility and based on the results upgraded my WinDVD 4 to WinDVD 7.
I re-ran the utility and made Intervideo Video Decoder my preferred decoder. I checked for updates on my video card (ATI Mobility Radeon 7500) there were none. I checked for upgrades on my sound card (SoundMAX) and Windows found an update and installed it. I still can't hear anything when playing a DVD. I have WMP 10 and run XP Home. Any suggestions? |

I tried that first. Even opened the volume controls and checked all the
settings. If it's just happening for MPEG/DVD files, then your DVD decoder isn't working correctly. Do DVDs play correctly in WinDVD? -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. That indicates that you've got multiple DVD decoders installed, which is not helpful. http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#mpeg2 may help here. -Zach -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
