Trying to re-install WMP 10 in order to get the visualizations to work in XP
MCE 2005 (have seen in another threat that this will solve the prob). However, I cannot complete installation because "a more recent version exists on your system....". Have tried to uninstall WMP via add/remove Windows components, but this doesn't solve. Another issue: 22 tracks are left in my music library and no matter how many time I hit delete (or right-click+delete), they will not clear from the library. Seems like they are stuck there forever ;-) (files are physically located on another PC in the same home network and connection is good). If somebody can help me with prob #1, it perhaps also solves the library issue? -- Best regards, Nikolaj Johansen WMP: 10.00.00.3802 Windows XP Pro ver. 2002 SP2 |

Thanks a bunch Mike - solved it straight away.
By not responding on issue #1 does that mean that it is a "live with it until MS fixes"-problem? It's annoying that visualizations doesn't work in MCE 2005, and also the song/album info stays on, eventhough I have selected only at the start and end of each song. I am afraid that the "black box" with info burns marks on my screen if used for longer periods. -- Best regards, Nikolaj Johansen WMP: 10.00.00.3802 Windows XP Pro ver. 2002 SP2 "Mike Williams" wrote: > Nikolaj wrote: > > Trying to re-install WMP 10 in order to get the visualizations to work in XP > > MCE > > 2005 (have seen in another threat that this will solve the prob). > > However, I cannot complete installation because "a more recent version > > exists on your system....". > > Have tried to uninstall WMP via add/remove Windows components, but this > > doesn't solve. > > > > Another issue: 22 tracks are left in my music library and no matter how many > > time I hit delete (or right-click+delete), they will not clear from the > > library.
