Hi,
I use WMP 10. Let's say I have a file with the extension .xyz. My question is: is it possible to add the xyz extension to those which are shown by the player in the file selector when I open the file? I mean, can it somehow be added to the "Media files (all types)" filter? |

Yeah, that's controlled by HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Player\Extensions. You'll find life/discovery a lot easier if you use a registry monitor... =) -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
