This question gets asked endlessly, but who bothers to read before posting?

Have you searched on the internet?

Why would you want to convert to WAV ?

All that will happen is your music file will be virtually impossible
to download for dialup users because the bitrate will soar to 350kbps
or more. Oh, and your webspace will full up with huge multi megabyte
files.

Is there any good reason to convert away from .wma ?

You probably can't convert to MIDI, because MIDI is just a series of
musical notes, it's data to send to a synthesiser (hardware or
software) rather than a waveform.

Cheers - Neil

I would be happy with wma if I could figure out how to move it like a .wav
file. I tried it thr ough the media player but all I got was music. As you
can see, I'm new at this. I'm using midi because it was a small file and
was available from the "free download' website. What I wanted to do was take
music from a CD and put it on my FRONTPAGE. This way of getting help is also
new to me and I appreciate you guys helping out a newby.

Converting audio recordings (MP3, WMA, WAV etc) to MIDI is
extraordinarily difficult. It's like doing speech recognition in a room
full of people talking at once in different languages.

I'm not sure what you mean by "move it like a .WAV file".

Thanks Neil, thanks everyone. I think I have it figured out. FRONTPAGE will
take .wav but not .wma. I'll just invest $19.95 for a convertor and my
problem is solved. You're right, .mid is too messy to work with.
Merry Christmas, everyone
