Some entries on my playlist turn orange in color with a red exclamation mark
at the begginning of the song's title. During playback, those particular
selections are skipped. This is happening to an ever increasing number of my
selections. What does this mean, and how can it be corrected?

Right-click on the red-mark'd tracks. What Error Details do you get?

(speaking for myself and doing this in my free time)
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.

"WMP cannot find file - It may have been moved, renamed or deleted - Specify
file's new location ..." However, when I right click on non-marked tracks on
the same play list, the exact same file as on marked ones is specified.
Apparently, all of the songs on that playlist share the same file. However,
some play, while others won't.
