Default SLOW music ripping.

when i try to rip CDs onto my player, it goes really really REALLY slow. it
used to take about 3-5 minutes per cd, and now it takes about 20-30 and
sometimes it wont even work. and i looked at other posts with this same
problem but there was no solution. it also messes up a song or 2 when it does
it (it cuts it up and skips it, etc.) please help!

thanks !

You're getting extremely dirty digital reads, sounds like. What happens if
you switch to use analog ripping?
