Always Freezing Up

Hello,

I have WMP 10 on a WindowsXP Home hp Laptop. When I play video files (.mpg
from my own camera or downloaded videos) my laptop freezes up. This happens
randomly but VERY frequently. Everything works fine for a few clips and then
total freeze-up requiring a total reboot (and thus no error messages). Seems
to happen most often when I'm resizing a window or moving ahead in the video
or just starting it up.....but pretty much any time.
