WMP 10 crashes on any wmv file
WinXP Home SP2
WMP 10 plays all formats except windows media (wmv and wma). It crashes on WM files with the "send error report" window. This just started. I rolled back to WMP 9 and it still happens. Reinstalled WMP 10 and still happens. The fault bucket number is 173080092.

Do you have mmswitch.ax installed on this system? Looks like you do. That file is noxious and should be removed. Don't EVER install codec packs, okay?
