I store all my MP3's in a location called D:\Music\MP3 and when I look at
that folder, it shows 1801 files/MP3 tunes. This is the file I search and add to my WMP 'all music' file when WMP is started. Now, when I display all my MP3's in WMP, it shows only 1525 MP3 tunes/files. I cannot seem to get ALL my MP3's loaded into WMP?? I've done about as much problem solving as I can, and I can't figure out what's happened to almost 300 tunes that DON'T show up on WMP. I've even added the tag information that WMP says it adds from the internet. What's happening to me? |

I recently noticed that when doing the "search", not all of my files were
being added. I finally realized that the files that were not being added were very small. There is an option in WMP to ignore files under a specific size. The default is 100k for audio files. I changed this setting to 0 and now all of my files are found and added to library. The setting is in WMP under Tools -> Options -> Library. been there, done that....thanks. I did realize that while my WMP listed the
'artist', there was the old 'album artist' field that was only half full of names! I tried filling some of those, but alas, it didn't increase the number of entries in WMP after I did another search and add option. I'm still almost 300+ more MP3's on my hard drive folder than what's listed in WMP. Thanks anyway, Dan! NB, for readers, these file limit settings do not work on MIDI files. There is also no separate file size limiter for picture files, so you inevitably get Album Art thumbnails and web page art polluting your set of regular photos. |

If some tracks have this information omitted, then the tracks will be split accordingly. |
