WMP opens but an error msg. shows when using the lib.

Okay im using WMP 9. I had WMP 10 but i rolled it back to the previous
version in attempt to solve the problem. Whenever I open WMP it shows an
error message, one to the extent of Windows Media Player has encountered and
error...blah blah blah Ive only had my PC for a couple months and this has
been happening for quite a while. I cant access my Media library without the
message showing up the Sync mode is fine. the Media Guide doesnt work even
when i rolled it back to wmp 9. Ive looked all over online and WMP cannot be
completely removed from any PC. So what do I dO? Oh and another thing every
error report so far has included that the problem is with one of these files
C:\DOCUME~1\Temp\2fdc_appcompat.txt but the 4 characters infront of the
underscore are never the same. Any help would be sO great I miss my WMP...
