Default Yahoo music videos won't play!

Hi,
Up to quite recently I could access and play Yahoo music videos via WMP
10 without any type of problem.
However, after having recovered from a minor virus infection (is there
such a thing?) I now find that my computer is Yahoo video-less.
When I click on a selected video, a screen comes up telling me there is
about to commence a check on my connection speed. I am then told to
click the I SEE THE VIDEO button when this becomes visible.
However, although the test video comes up, when I hit the button a
'stopped' indication comes up and NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS.
I have tried many fixes and checked widely in the newsgroups but, so
far, to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks
Kilbane

That doesn't really translate to any concrete information. Do videos from
other web sites play? Do local video files play? Do local or online music
files play?

(speaking for myself and doing this in my free time)
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.

Now Playing: "It Had to Be You [Big Band and Vocals]" by "Harry Connick Jr."
in WMP10.
