I haven't seen any real helpful replies to this thread, or in the
Knowledgebase, so thought I'd post my experience with this problem. WMP10, WinXP Home SP2, 996 MHz PIII w/256 MB RAM I didn't notice the problem until I installed the software that came with my wife's Creative Zen Nano (same as MuVo) MP3 player. It installed a USB mass media driver, an alternate media player and a few other bits. Soon after I noticed the > 2 minute freeze on every track information edit attempt in WMP. Editing worked, it was just painfully slow. Otherwise WMP worked alright. Updating to the latest WMP10 download didn't help. I used the Add or Remove Programs control to uninstall all of the MP3 player software, and Add/Remove Windows components to uninstall WMP10. Then re-downloaded the latest version of WMP10, installed it, and reinstalled the MP3 player mass media driver only. Problem is gone. I haven't tried reinstalling the MP3 player's alternate media player, don't care enough to find out if I can. Hope this helps somebody.
