I have a new Dell D610 with WMP10 and ALL music in my library is distorted on
playback. Even at low vol I can hear the distortion of mid and bass tones. I
can play the same music tracks on RealPlayer or Music Match and there's NO
distortion. The same thing happens on my home PC. I've tryed adjusting every
sound option I can find but the distortion persists.

Ideas?

Have you turning off WMP's EQ?

Yes - EQ us off which helps some but does not eliminate the problem. Strange
that it happens on both my laptop and home PC. Both run XP and all the latest
patches and they both have different sound cards. So I suspect it's more a
MP10 issue than a hardware issue. Is there a known prob regarding this?
