Up until last week, I had no problem listening to streaming audio from
xmradio.com Now I cannot listen to any site's streaming audio nor video. I've tried re-installing WMP10 (fresh download from microsoft.com) and rolling back to WMP9 with no success. I'm getting the infamous C00D10B5 error message. From various postings and replies on this newsgroup, I investigated WMP10 not "seeing my Internet connection." From this I discovered that the Network tab under Tools>Options will not display. I'm running XP Professional Version 2002 with SP2 on a Dell w/ Xeon & 3G RAM. I'm running WMP10 version 10.00.00.3802 I've got two other XP computers that do NOT have the same problem. I can see the Network tab. Both can play streaming audio & video. (And, to reiterate, this one was too up until last week.) |

Never mind. I got it working. I'm posting this for the sake of others who
might be having similiar problems. I discovered the .wmdb files in the hidden directory Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player. I deleted the ones for the user where WMP10 & streaming audio was not working. I copied files from another user where it was working. I also deleted all of the files in Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Media\10.0 (Maybe the 2nd step is not needed?) In any case. All is well. I can now go to sleep. |
