I recently made the mistake of installing MyDVD on my Dell with XP home
edition. My WMP 10 will no longer play videos off the DVD. I believe MyDVD loaded a codec that has really messed up WMP. I have uninstalled MyDVD, uninstall WMP, downloaded the latest WMP, but without success. I know that I posted this question on one of the forums, but can't find it now. What I am looking for is to remove or disable the codec loaded by MyDVD, or to reload only the codec needed for WMP. I know that I can go into to the video codecs and remove them, but how do I tell which once are for WMP? |

That video codecs list doesn't list MPEG/MPEG2 codecs. http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#mpeg2 should help. -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
