I am running windows xp and have downloaded a clip that windows media player
can't play shows error number COOD1199. says it doesn't know what was used to create the file or it may be compressed somehow? so what can I do to open it? |

You can install Quicktime.
Make sure you do a custom install and when you configure, uncheck almost everything except only those files specific to it.
