How do you start up WMP so that it starts in full screen from a shortcut.
I don't want to have to press ctrl enter. I want windows to run a short fullscreen video when I startup my computer. I want to put a shortcut in startup that loads a file with perameters I want, such as: Startup in full screen and Play once. To know how to add this to a playlist would be great too. Thanks, Dubhbairn |

Theoretically any program can be made to run full screen etc by creating a shortcut to it, and then setting the Run window size on the properties dialog. |

There's a fullscreen switch for the player shortcut - check this page http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...parameters.asp Copy and past the existing media player shortcut into your Startup folder. The Right click it, choose Properties and in the box labelled "Target",add /fullscreen at the end of the path to media player (separated by a a space) Cheers - Neil |

"D:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /fullscreen
or "D:\Documents and Settings\Dubhbairn\Desktop\Choralone.mpg" /fullscreen ....in the shortcut's target folder do NOT start WMP in fullscreen mode. I want to put a shortcut in startup that plays a short fullscreen video when windows starts up. Can someone try this and get it to work? And if so, post the shortcut here that works? Thanks for trying Neil. I can't see in (1) Where you specified the video to play (it can't play "nothing" in full screen !) And in (2) You haven't specified media player as the target, so it won't work because those parameters can't be passed to an undefined player. Instead, use this [Watch for line wrap - this is all one line so copy & paste at your peril] "D:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" D:\Documents and Settings\Dubhbairn\Desktop\Choralone.mpg /fullscreen Cheers - Neil |
