I had a similar problem. You can edit the tracks to shave off a few seconds'
silence at each end of each one with Windows Media File Editor Tool (free download) or Windows Movie Maker (should already be on your computer). I used Windows Movie Maker. It took a bit of learning how to use it, and then the editing was took a bit of time, but it worked and I was able to burn successfully.
