When using WMP9 (I have just rolled back from 10 to try to fix the problem)
I get distorted peak sound. It is fine when playing lower sound passages. This is purely a digital problem as sounds are played OK if I use analogue sound from CD. Also sounds are fine if I use WMP2 and if I use another player like RealPlayer. Any ideas? Daz |

Do you have all "enhancements" (equalizer, volume leveling, etc) disabled in
WMP? "Daz" wrote: > When using WMP9 (I have just rolled back from 10 to try to fix the problem) > I get distorted peak sound. It is fine when playing lower sound passages. |

Thanks Dan, I have now checked these out and found that with a combination
of adjustments I have been able to get rid of the distortion. I didn't appreciate how complex WMP10 is. On WMP2 (ie. Run\mplayer2) everything is so much simpler that I didn't realise that other adjustments would be necessary. Thanks again, Daz "Dan Corban" <DanCorban@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:90787C8E-92E4-4165-90E9-34705CCE6D0C@microsoft.com... > Do you have all "enhancements" (equalizer, volume leveling, etc) disabled > in > WMP? > > "Daz" wrote: >> When using WMP9 (I have just rolled back from 10 to try to fix the >> problem) >> I get distorted peak sound.
