I just signed up for Epson's Online Experience series of video tutorials
about digital photography. Looks cool but after you sign up you discover that to fully use it you must be using WMP v9. I'm glad they don't require Windows 98. To quote: *WINDOWS PC USERS* Remember to backup your downloaded videos -instructions can be found by clicking the "Help" tab at the top right corner of the Online Experience Home Page. The newly released Version 10 of the Windows Media Player does not currently support the Online Experience's automatic video download, save, and replay features. We recommend that you do not upgrade to Version 10 until you have viewed all of your Online Experience episodes. So, is it possible to install WMP v9 on a system already using v10? I'm particularly concerned about how this might effect DRM licenses, like those from Napster. |
