had some problems watching the webcasts too. everytime i tried plating them
either online or offline wmp would crash. tried reinstalling wmp (v10), wmp
codecs (those that say "for wmp 7+" but the file has 9 in filename ).
didn't work.
so i figured it has to be something with codecs from the codec pack i use.
using g-spot (gspot > http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) i analyzed the file.
it wrote what format the media uses and what codecs are used for playback. i
tried different movies to find out which codec caused the trouble and ended
up with "morgan multimedia switcher" (though i don't remember version
number). so i uninstalled my original codecpack and installed other (k-lite >
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...Codec_Pack.htm) which even asked
me if i wan't to disable the faulty codec . worked for me and right now i'm
watching keynote speech from CES 2006
